At Victoria House in Lyme Regis we have a few simple objectives for our recorder courses: the very best tutors, relaxed and friendly accommodation, good food, good company and a great location.

We run recorder courses at all levels from beginners to Diploma for around 10 - 12 players with some of the best tutors from around the world.

We have 20 public courses booked for 2014, as well as a few private ones, and we try to suit most tastes and abilities.  Have a look at the list of 2014 courses and we do hope you can find one that suits you.

For 2014 we are pleased to welcome back Matthias Maute in December, who will be coming over from Canada specially for the course.  We also have a new course on Conducting & Playing with Eileen Silcocks in March, for players who want to learn how to improve their conducting or for those who are happy just to play.

We are also very pleased to offer an innovative new course for Gifted Young Players up to the age of 18 who don't often have the chance to play with others of a similar standard.  Led by Tom Beets of the Flanders Recorder Quartet, arguably the best recorder group in the world at the moment, and fully funded through our collaboration with the Walter Bergmann Fund, this promises to be an exciting weekend for all concerned.

A full day includes 4 one and a half hour sessions.  The early part of each afternoon is free for relaxation, exploring Lyme Regis or informal recorder playing.  Please look at the 'more information' page for each course for details of specific start and finish times.
